Frequently Asked Questions

General
Is Little Jigsaws free to play?
Yes — every puzzle category is free to play, no purchase required. A one-time “Remove Ads” purchase is available if you'd like to remove ads permanently.
Are premium puzzle packs available?
Not yet — additional puzzle packs are on our roadmap for a future update. Everything currently in the app is free to play.
Do I need an internet connection to play?
You can browse categories offline (thumbnails are built into the app). Opening a puzzle you haven't played before needs a quick internet connection to download its full image — after that, it's cached on your device and playable offline anytime.
Will my progress be saved if I close the app?
Yes. Little Jigsaws automatically saves your progress on the current puzzle, so you can pick up exactly where you left off.
Can I use my own photos as puzzles?
Not yet — custom photo puzzles are on our roadmap. We'll update this FAQ when it ships.
I bought Remove Ads — why do I still see ads after reinstalling?
This should happen automatically — Little Jigsaws restores your purchase the moment the app opens, no action needed. If ads are still showing, open Settings → Remove Ads → Restore Purchase, signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
How to Play
What does the eye icon do?
It toggles a faint overlay of the full picture directly on the board, with a slider to control how visible it is — handy when you're stuck and want a hint without fully revealing the image.
What does the Magic Wand do?
Tap it to automatically place one piece for you. You get one free use per puzzle — after that, watch a short ad for another, or purchase Remove Ads for unlimited free uses.
What does the photo icon do?
Opens a full preview of the completed picture, so you can check what you're building toward at any time.
What does the box/archive icon do?
“Sweep to Tray” — tidies up by gathering any stray, unplaced pieces on the board back into the piece tray, without disturbing pieces you've already placed correctly.
What does the palette icon do?
Lets you change the board's background color while you play.
What are the difficulty levels?
Puzzles range from 9 pieces (Easy) up to 196 pieces (Ultimate) — pick whichever feels right, and you can change difficulty each time you start a puzzle.
